For me the update has only been stuck for a month for no apparent reason (last updates installed late september '16 and it is now october). joe My PC was stuck with this "checking for updates" problem and after searching the internet none of the fixes seemed to work for me and many of the recommended fixes Is it some kind of vengeance of Microsoft that we didn't feel the need to upgrade to Windows 10 ?
