You can also try renaming the WLM message store file, it can become corrupt. Anyone? Tried turning off my AV (Avira Premium) , and restarted, but it made no difference. Then it shut down quickly.

- What Microsoft could (and should) do is give the user a proper error message so he knows what is broken, and what to do to fix it.
