Any ideas? Immediate success, I can now access my Windows 7 files over the network from my XP machine! but later when I could not print to the printer connected on XP machine which is connected with my lap through a Netgear router I noticed of missing the network.

These instructions are for the Printer attached to the XP machine (but works in reverse as well). ("Stand alone" Network printers can be done slightly similarly BTW). This drives me crazy. Hope it helps you all. It is an ardious task.
