I found it limited in that you are not able to pin anything except programs to the Win7 taskbar however. I was able to get the network icon in the quick launch toolbar area on the right but I prefer it right on the taskbar on the left because the icons Right-click on the taskbar and choose Toolbars > New Toolbar 2. Even resizing was not working properly: I could not move the limits back and forth as it was always dropping the handle once I tried to go the other direction.

Microsoft should have kept the quick launch bar (and a pinnable-to-taskbar recycle bin ) for Windows 7. I'm still annoyed that I can't DETACH the Quick Launch from the bottom taskbar and move it to the top, thus creating another/second ‘taskbar' area.
