Want to share your thoughts? I just purchased a new SSD 480GB, I intend to install and have a few questions. Once the data is moved and the block is erased, only then can new data be written to a previously-occupied block. Never make such conclusive statements about technology, which is evolving every day.
You can also choose the drive in which Windows itself is installed—you'll want it on your SSD for lightning-fast system performance. It already offers keen pricing and while not the leading speed demon is plenty quick enough for most mortals. Install your OS onto the SSD and the programs/games you will use the most. In his free time he dabbles in fiction, photography, and game development. Vista and up doesn't have that issue.
