I removed the drive, bought an adaptor to plug it into my USB 3.0 port on my new HP G7 2269wm laptop. - Did you have both drives hooked up when you installed your OS on the SSD?
- Either cables, either the SSD itself, which is most likely.
- the laptop HDD has windows 8 on it though..
- Even though my SSD was not coming up as UEFI device it now boots from it normally and the HDD can also be used.
- Then check the boot order again, SSD should be first boot device, save changes, reboot, try again.
- Be sure to post back with the outcome.
