  1. I especially missed the customization and versatility offered by TabMix Plus extension in Firefox.

  3. The most important checkbox will be temporary internet files, make sure this is checked.
  4. Chrome had become heinously slow for me and disabling hardware acceleration resolved the problem.
  5. Honestly I am not sure why you are giving Chrome advice if you have not used it and all of your answers end in "I don't know, I haven't used it".

I agree with that as well. Tested internet speeds, checking for malware, virus, changing DNS address, flushing DNS, deleting JAVA files, updating flash, (I religiously clean cache and history anyways), changing proxy settings, reinstalling browsers, restarting several I come here because you don't do that kind of thing. Tried everything else, including complete uninstall/reinstall of Chrome.
