Well, the primary drive died, but when I tried to boot with the mirrored drive, it said no boot device available. Click on Start | All Programs | Accessories. 2. to convert a drive to a fixed MBR open cmd as admin and do;
diskpart > list disk > select disk x > clean

the newest version did not work. I have a laptop that has a password protected BIOS. I've gone through all the steps before that at least three times to no prevail including changing it to what Obsidian said. changed the bios boot sequance = fails to recognize boot operation on usb connector.. TechforHire likes this.
